For my senior project, I created a graphic design portfolio using Adobe software. I first learned how to use the software and graphic design different techniques and styles by watching different videos and trying out the material myself. The goal of my project was to make at least five different designs mixing and incorporating the different skills I have learned.
WHY I CHOSE THIS AREA OF STUDY
I chose to create a graphic design portfolio because I am interested in majoring and/or minoring in it in college, but I have little experience with it. I wanted to learn how to use the software as well as whether or not I enjoy it before I spend time and money on it at college.
MY BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE IN THIS AREA
I knew very little about graphic design when I began my project. However, I am a fairly creative person and have painted advertisements on the windows of Kasson Hardware Hank but I have not used much computer software other than creating simple posters on Google Docs and what I learned in Computer Apps my freshman year.
HOW THIS PROJECT WAS A STRETCH?
This project was a stretch for me because I had never used Adobe software before and I had minimal experience using MacBooks. I also did not know much about techniques or the overall basics of graphic design but was quite interested in finding out.
